POP’D UP, PHIL’D UP

Met up with a local friend to venture from Portland up to North Plains, OR to taste what Abbey Creek Winery had to offer. I peaked a little ahead to check out the website, and the first thing I learned: the tag line is “Hiphop, Wine & Chill”. Well, OK, I’m curious. Bertony Faustin, a first generation Haitian – American had started the first black owned winery in Oregon.

There are a million reasons why you would want the chance to attend Diner en Blanc. Besides the fact that it is one of the most sought out annual events, you can always look forward to its extravagant ambiance filled with social experiences, fabulous décor, food, entertainment, flowing libations, topped off with the ultimate element of surprise surrounding its hidden location. It is the true night of lights in elegant WHITE!

Restaurant Week in Philadelphia – a great opportunity to find and try restaurants you haven’t visited yet!
…THIS winter we went to check out a new French Restaurant on North Broad that opened the end of 2019, Gabi. DELICIOUS! We had the fabulous Felecia serving and bartending in the bar area – love sitting in the bar area either at the bar or at a high top! Felecia gave us great suggestions from our starting cocktail, to wine paired with our main dishes, to unexpectedly enjoyable dessert wines.

With Fresh and New as the motto its only right that exciting adventures and new tastes are soon to come. Looking back at last year there were some great new places discovered – no worries if you haven’t already seen or heard much about them yet, they were worth repeating so keep any eye out!

An overcast Memorial Day came and went, we are getting excited for the growing list of interesting events that embrace our favorites: Wine, Food, Brew and any local tastes that intrigue you.
